 Well, here i go again, looking for different ways I can generate a small income by working at home. As I look at all the different methods that are available, it can be extremely overwhelming at times, and even the best of us can be fooled out of our money at times.
 I was going building my online business, blogging, driving traffic to my site, and getting commissions from the different ad's on my Blog, and looking at ways to generate more traffic, when i stumbled upon ineedhits.com, a site that promised to get more hits on your web page, by moving you up the Google search result's. What I didnt know, was the seedy business practices these people had. When I ordered the service, it was a promotional thing, for only 7.95+ tax. Since it was located in Australia, i had to allow overseas transactions thru my bank. Since I hadn't done this yet, the order page would halt, so i refreshed and entered my information again. After three tries, i gave up for the time being, and contacted my bank to see if all was okay. I was informed that i had to allow the transactions first, before they would allow it. Okay i thought, no problem. After approving the transaction, i went back to ineedhits.com, and ordered the service. It was absolutely great. I was getting over 1K hits a day on my Blog, and the orders were starting to pour in. Only after I looked at my bank account a few day later, did i notice that I had been charged 4 times from ineedhits.com, over-drafting my bank account, and getting a $32 dollar charge each time. After the first order, the charge for the service was 29.99 as well, putting me over 200 dollars in the hole. After contacting ineedhits. com, and explaining that the charges were an accident, their response was basically "tough luck"! I then tried to cancel the charges with my bank, who basically said the same thing. I finally ended up closing my bank account, since they were also adding a 5 dollar charge everyday my bank was in the red. I am still paying off the charges, and ineedhits. com is happy and content. They got my money, and basically refused to acknowledge the mistake. Okay, lesson learned.
 You are probably wondering what all this has to do with chicken nuggets, so I will tell you. After the ineedhits fiasco, i lost my motivation, and have been neglecting my online pursuits, and even stopped writing to this blog for a while, as well as keeping up with my promotional ad's. This last week, i decided I needed to get back on the ball, and start building this up again. In doing so, i also started my eBay business, and started listing items. I was pleasantly surprised when I listed an item, and within 20 minutes it was sold at the price i had wanted. That was a great motivation for me. As I was getting ready to print up the shipping label, so i could send off the package, I discovered that my printer, which hadn’t been used for some time, was full of chicken nuggets. I just had to laugh.

Online survey sites: DO's and DONT's

This article describes my experience's with online survey sites, and also some of the DO'S and DONT'S involved with them.
Well, here we go again, with the survey sites. This has been a tremendous effort on my part, trying to find the sites that are actually worthwhile, and which are just after your money. I had thought, that the OnlyCashSurveys site was an honest survey site, although a bit frustrating. The hardest part was finding surveys that you are eligible for. You can go thru 15 or so before you find one that you are able to complete. That in itself can be a little time consuming.
I know, and fully understand the concept that you cant get rich online, and nothing that doesn’t require work, is worth doing when it comes to online surveys. All I ask is that i am modestly compensated for my time. I would like to get to the point where I can average ten dollars an hour, that I could do as a part time, stay at home income. I know and fully realize that I cam not going to get rich with any of the scams that are out there. The hard part, is finding the offers that are legitimate, and the ones that are just after your money.I hope to sift thru them over time, and gather a decent list of which ones are the best, and which ones are just scams. Some that come to mind, right off the top of my head, is the inboxpays dot com website. This one makes you complete money offers, and then you get cash rewards for signing up, in which a lot of times a credit/ debit card is required. I do subscribe to that site though, because sometimes if I am looking for a specific service, I can sign up for it, and be compensated, which further reduces the overall cost of the service/ item that I am looking for. This site also offer's email's, but most of the time it is just for the offers.
One thing I would suggest, if your going to do online surveys, is to setup a new Email account, just for that purpose. You are going to get spammed, and they are going to give your information to other spammers, until yours eyes cross. Expect to get hundreds of emails everyday to this account. Another thing, that is a good idea, is to use a pre-paid CC/ debit card if you can afford to. Do not tie this one into your regular Debit/CC, only use it to sign up for online offers. This will help if you do get taken for your hard earned cash to cancel thing's before they get out of hand. it will also help if you stumble across a site that likes to sell your information.
Another Good idea would be to keep a spreadsheet of the different sites, as well as user name and password’s that are needed to login. You can also keep track of expiration dates for trial offers in this database, to make sure you do not go past the expiration date if you decide to not enroll or buy the item. I hope that this article helps to resolve some of the problems faced with finding legitimate suveys sites. Their are some good ones out there, you just have to sift through all the crud, to find them, while holding on tight to your wallet.

just what the heck are you doing ?

 As i sit here, day after day, writing more and more, and plowing through all the frustrations of writing articles, I often wonder, just what the heck am i doing ? I have no writing skill's, never read anything, have no social skills at all, and a high school dropout, so why am I doing all of this ? I am sure I could go scrub dishes somewhere, in some lowly little restaurant, and make more money than I am right now. I would have a steady income, and be able to afford health benefits as well.     
 Most of my life, I have worked in one laborious job after another, never getting anywhere, just happily pushing a shovel across someones yard, day after day. The hardest part of the job was showing up. Once I got my rhythm going, i could do that for hours on end, with very little problem. When I got bored, I could move to the next job, and new adventures, so to speak. I liked what I was doing, and it was very gratifying to see that big pile of dirt at the end of the day. You could actually SEE what you had accomplished, right their before your eyes, with your chest puffed out and a smile on your face. Then my back blew out....

 Since that time, I have worked here and their, in other dead end jobs, but as I get older, I find it harder and harder just to get through one day, much less a week. I have always been told that i am semi-intelligent, so why not use my brain for a while, to find ways to make money. After all, I had been neglecting the brain for years, abusing it with very little use. But, could I still have the same cranial capacity now, after all these years ?

 That is why i started writing, to wake up the old brain cell's, and see if their was anything left of it, that could be rubbed together to form a though, or an idea. As I write, i find it flowing a little bit easier everyday, and the thoughts pouring out, almost faster than I can type them. It is nice to be able to share, and gratifying to know that someone may be reading them. Someday, years from now, when I am strolling down memory lane, I am going to look at all these early writings and chuckle.

Inbox dollars

As some of you may know, I have been promoting the inboxdollars web site for some time now. As I have tried to explain in my posts, this site will not, i repeat, will not make you rich by any means. I spend about an hour a day, in the morning doing a few surveys, reading emails and doing a few tasks, and have generated a modest income from doing so. It is frustrating, because when you first start, you have to wait up to 3 months before you can see your first paycheck. The gratifying part, is that after you DO get your first check in the mail, you only have to wait a week for the next check to arrive. After your first check. you also reach "GOLD" membership, which presents you with more money making opportunities. From that point on, for every person you refer with your link, you make 10% for every dollar they make. Plus, once a month they give you an automatic referall of a new person, so if they go viral, and start making big dollars, you get 10% of that. I realize, like I have said many times, that this is not going to make me rich, and if that is what you are looking for, then you might as well move on, because this isnt the site to do that. You can use my plan, and generate some money, to help buy a few extra groceries every month, or fill your tank, or pay a few bills, that is about all you are going to get. .If you want to get rich for doing nothing, then this isnt the place to look. I am working on different ways that a person could make a decent income, using different methods that are online, but honestly have not found it yet either. One of my goals, with inboxdollars, is to start marketing it more. I spend an hour a day, working on my own surveys, then spend the rest of the day promoting the site using my referal link. What this does, is make me more money, for doing nothing other than spamming the link once or twice a day. Not hard to do at all. For every person I refer, i make 10% of whatever income they make. Imagine if I had 10 people making 30 dollars a month. That works out to an extra 30 dollars a day for doing hardly anything. Now, imagine if in a years time, I have 100 people, or 1000 people all doing that ? See where this is going ? I will right more on how this works, and other marketing idea's as I find out what works and what doesnt. Working from home

 Here i am, in my office, working from home, elightened by the fact that i have come to the realization of what I was doing wrong, in my efforts to work from home. I am in the frame of mind that I am succesful, I will BE succesful, therefore I am. I get up every morning, get my daughter on the bus to school, then shave and into the shower, and at the office by 8AM.

 I have the back den set up as my office now, which is really nice. I have a BIG desk, and a computer back their, that I use for blogging and marketing, as well as doing surveys, and promoting my sites. I am now up over 100 hits a day, and gaining popularity.One thing that I do, is get into a routine, everyday, just like a real job. No more sitting around in my pajamas and bunny slippers all day, struggling to stay motivated with this project. It seems to help my frame of mind as well, by doing it this way. It is literally like a full time job, sometimes with overtime involved, but it is what I need to do if I am going to make any moeny at this.

One of the methods of driving traffic to my site that DOESN'T WORK is  ineedhits. It is an SEO (Search Engine Optimizer), that drives traffic to your site. For only 7.95 for the first month, it can give your site the hits it needs to be profitable. After that it is only 14.95 a month, which still is not a bad deal at all, if it makes me money as well. We will see how it works, and decide from their.

OCD for fun and profit

 Here it is, Friday night, and I am still searching for that one plan, that one idea, that will be profitable for me, as a stay at home dad. I have been following some of the work idea's over at Wealth Affiliates, and a lot of the methods they use seem like they could work, once implemented properly, but for 99.00 dollars a month, I just dont have that sort of money right now. One thing that I do like about that group, is that they give a lot of the idea's away, for free, laying out in a nice, neat manner, the different ways you can make money from home, with very little effort, it just takes some time to get the ball rolling.
 I had hoped, that with my obsessive compulsive disorder, that I could just zero in on one idea that works, and beat it to death, until i was walking away from the bank with a wheelbarrow full of money, but that hasn’t been the case just yet, although I have generated a part time income from the Blog so far, as well as the InboxDollars and sendearnings survey sites. Realistically, i know that none of hese idea's are going to make me the next millionaire, but if I could just get to the point where I am generating a full time income, that would be nice. I think that I have stayed grounded in all of this, not falling for the get rich quick themes that are out their.

Site hits

Here it is, the beginning of February, and my site has almost 2500 hits already. I cant not believe that in just 2 short months, my Blog would be this popular, and have that many people interested in what I have to say on this Blog. I am still researching different methods that can be used to generate money through online marketing, and using InboxDollars and sendearnings to make money, although it is still at a part time income. I have also started using CommisionJunction to start putting more advertisements on my page, and hopefully I have placed content on their that may be of interest to the people that visit my Blog. It is all commision, so the more clicks I get, the more I make. I hope to be up to over 100 hits a day soon, right now averaging about 85 hits a day.

money making methods

 Hello again, and thank you for reading this. In my last blog, i had mentioned inboxdollars and sendearnings, as online survey sites. One thing that i had forgotten to mention though, is the ways thast those sites can be exploited, to generate money.
 One method i like to use is the referall links. Those can be used to get other members to sign up, and give you credit for the referall. This is a way to generate a few extra dollars, as for every dollar that they make, you get ten cents. Now, that ay not seem like a lot, but over time, if you stay with it, and keep persistant, that one person turns into 10, then 20, and more. So, if you have 20 people that all earn just 30 dollars a month, that works out to an extra 60 dollars, for doing almost nothing but spamming your link. Now, what happens over a year or two, when you have 100 people or more, all earning 30 dollars a month, and you getting 10 percent for every dollar made, again for doing nothing but spamming your link everyday, wherever you can. This includes forums, blogs, comments, email, email tags and social networking sites.
 Another site, which i am not to sure about just yet, is the onlycashsurveys web site, which offers surveys as well. The frustrating part about that site, is that you only qualify for certain surveys, out of 20-30 a day. It can be very frustrating to spend 2 hours, plowing through the list, only to find that you didnt meet the requirements for any of them. It is funny how whenever you see a listing for a free iPod, you have a 100 percent chance of qualifying for that. Another peeve is that when I did cash out, it took up to a month for my money to be transferred to my paypal account. Seriously guys, a MONTH for an electronic money transfer. That was after waiting a month for all the work i did to be approved. I was able to pound out about 40 bucks in an hour and a half though, which i find amazing.

making money online

 it has been almost a year now, and I havent really found one plan that actually works well, that is going to make you a decent income online. Out of all the different methods that I have seen, most require you sending a payment of some sort, to buy their plan for making money. This doesnt seem to make sense, since you would actually be spending mon ey at that point. I have come to the conclusion so far, that the only real way to make money online, is to sell money making idea's and schemes online. There are a multitude of those going around. So here is my offer...

Working from home

 As I pursue this venture, and learn the different ways to make money from home, one of the pitfalls I have ran into, is sick days. When you work for someone else, you don't always have the luxury of calling in sick, but when working from home, it is just way too easy to stay in your pajama's for the day, and call it an off day. I have been trying to treat this as a full time job, and being serious about it, and find myself taking days off, because I don't feel good, or I'm having a bad day, and other excuses that are interfering with my day to day progress. This week, it is a persistent headache that is plaguing me. Before that, it was because the landlord was coming to inspect and take some pictures, and I had to get the place spit shined for him.
If I am going to be serious about this, and make a consistent income, i am going to have to find someway to not take so many sick days. I suppose that working from home, that is one of the perks, but it is not making me any money, and my sales and my readers have dropped off because of it. So, i am going to have to make a new commitment, to come into work no matter what ails me at the time, and make some money.

Work from home

 Here it is a bright fresh new week, and I am racking my little brain trying to find new and innovative ways to make money at home, using the different social networking tools that I have available to me. I have been following a plan for some time, but have yet to generate any real income from it. aside from the inboxdollars web site, and selling things on ebay, I havent really generated an income that even comes close to full time work, although I have been putting a lot of energy into it.
 I am going to be spending this week looking at new, fresh idea's that i can use, and will be posting the results at the end of the week, of what I came up with.

Online surveys and the great void

 The void, of course, is to AVOID most sites, since they are worthless. After scouring the internet thru thousands of sites, I have only come across several that were even with the time you put into it. The best so far has been the InboxDollars site. This site allows you do do multiple tasks, to generate a little bit of money. My favorite has to be the paid emails. I can click thru them pretty fast now, and make a couple of dollars a day doing it. The only drawback, is they only send 5-10 a day. The other item that can be fun, is clicking thru the different tasks that are available. You get paid to do internet searches, and find information, that you then submit to the form. It can be a little more time consuming, but if you enjoy that, then money can be made. The surveys are ok as well, and their are multiple surveys that you can click thru to generate some cash. If you do a lot of internet searches thru Google, or other methods, you can use the inboxdollars to do your searchs, and make some cash that way as well.

If you believe...

I was surfing the internet, looking for idea's to make money, that I could do from home, when I ran across that quote from Gandhi, that "A man is but the product of his thoughts. What he thinks, he becomes", and I was absolutely stunned. I have been using this concept the last month or so, literally thinking that I will succeed in this venture. I have been treating my affiliate marketing pursuit, just like a real job. I wake up in the morning, get my daughter off to school, then hop in the shower, get dressed in office clothes, and then by 8Am i am in my "office".
 I have been working on this, everyday, 5 days a week, from 8AM to 5PM, and even refer to this room as my office. In my head, this is what I will be doing, to make myself successful, even though I know that it will take some time, to build up an audience, find my "niche", back-link every article, post my links to different advertisements, do surveys, read the paid emails, and post different items on E-bay. I hope, that by this time next year, i will have gained modest success. I know that this method is not going to make me rich, but it can develop into an honest income. One of my other goals, is to reach a level that Teri can quit working her current job, and work with me. That would be great. I know I am not making a lot of money right now, but it does feel nice to be able to put money into Teri’s bank account on a weekly basis, and have all our bill's paid. I guess the point of this, is that I really believe that I will be successful, so if Gandhi’s words hold true, it is not a matter of if i will make it, but when I will make it.

just what the heck DO you do

 Good morning, hope the day is going well for you so far.

 I have had a few people ask, just what the hell do you do all day Theron, when your in the office. My answer, is really quite simple. I advertise on my Blog, I sell things on E bay, and I do surveys. Now, you may be asking, how does that work Theron ? My answer. It is a lot of hard work. i am constantly on the lookout for other methods to make money online, but so far, the big ticket has been selling on E bay. For just a little bit of work, I have generated a part time income, just from that. The other idea's, including the Blog for advertising, takes awhile to get going, as I build up a group of readers. I get paid every time I get a hit on my Blog, thru the advertisements. Now, it isn’t a lot, but once it gets going, it should add up quickly. Be sure to share this blog with your friends, if you enjoy it.
 The online surveys sites are another method of generating revenue, but again, it takes a while to get it going. Through the inboxdollars web site, I can do surveys, tasks, video's and read the emails, but it seems that the real money is in setting up a down line of people working, through referrals. You see, by using my referral, through the links I post, i make 10 % for every dollar that someone makes. It may not add up to a lot, but what if you had 100-200 people that were all referrals, making just 30-50 a month ? That is a t least an extra 300 dollars a month. Now, what if after 6 months to a year, I have over 1000 people all making that sort of money ? Again, that works out to a lot of money just through the referrals. It just takes time to build it all up. I hope that by next January, i ma bringing in 3-4K a month, using the different methods available, as well as any others that I may find along the way.

Weekend fun

 WOW, what a great time I had this weekend. Spent most of it, chasing stations on the air, with the SKCC (Straight Key Century Club) group, working every state and DX (Distant) station I could. Out of 19 possible DX stations, i was able to get 16 of them. Not bad for a 100 watt station. The cool part is, that they are a really active group of morse code enthusiasts, working excusively in that mode of communication. I have always liked morse code too, so that helps. To me it is almost musical, and I can hear patterns of words, rather than each individual character being sent. When I am on a roll, i can copy up to 55 WPM (Words Per Minute) of Morse code. That isnt blazingly fast, but it is a decent rate.
 I joined this group a few months ago, but hadn’t been active until this weekend. They also hold monthly Weekend sprints, for 24 hours. The point of the sprint is to work as many other members, and non-members as you can in the allotted time. Talk about fun. I look forward to next month, when they have the next sprint. I already missed the sprint for this month.
 All in all, I did absolutely nothing productive, and just sat on my butt and did morse code all weekend, what could be better ?

Welcome to my Blog

 Good morning, and welcome to my Blog. First off, I would like to say welcome, to all the new people that signed up for InboxDollars this week, and offer a few pointers. I have found that with InboxDollars, as well as any other survey or work at home offering, that although it is great to be able to work from your own home, in your pajama's from your computer, that you are really better off if you treat it like a real job. You will find yourself being a lot more productive. You start at a certain time, determined by you of course, and then stick with that, to see how it works for you. I have found that by starting at 8AM, that it works for me. I take a lunch break at 11:30 to 12:30, then work till 5PM. I also make sure that I am up, fully dressed, with a snort of coffee in my hand, as I "go to work".
 One thing to keep in mind, is that this method will not make you rich, in any way. It is to be considered part time work at best. You can make money with it, and you will get out of it what you put into it, and that is all. If you signed up with some unreal expectation of becoming rich instantly, overnight, for little effort, then you have come to the wrong place. You just have to find the thing that you enjoy doing the most, and then peak how well you do it. For me, I like the paid emails. Even thought they dont pay a lot, I can plow thru them in about 2 seconds at a time. They just dont send enough of them in a days time, for me to make any real money. But if you consider that I spend a total of around 5 minutes, and can make several dollars just doing that, it pays.
 The point is, just have fun doing it, and find other things you can do as well, and then set yourself up a schedule, during the day.  I hope you enjoy the experience as much as i have, and profitable. Thanks for reading, Theron
