Decisions to live with

As we blunder through our lives, we are presented with many decisions, during the course of the day. In a society that grows bigger and bigger, to a global scale, the choices get bigger, as well as having a bigger impact on our lives.

This brings to mind, the sad story, of an 18 year old girl, living in Forks, who's life was ended by a viscous attack, from the father of her four year old baby, while the child watched. What a horrible scenario that is. The lady was impregnated at the age of thirteen, by a 21 year old man who was in this country illegally.  Whatever the circumstances as to why he was not arrested at that point, he continued to have a rocky relationship with this woman, until a few days ago, when he repeatedly plunged a knife into her, killing her, while the four year old child was present. Again, this is horrible, but you have to wonder once again, just why he wasnt arrested as a pedophile 4 years ago, when the child was conceived. Was it because the lady begged and pleaded with her family to not turn him in, because she loved him, or was it because a lack of concern with the Forks police department. Whatever the reason, this was a choice that had dire consequences.

As our society grows bigger, and our sense of community diminishes, we have to wonder if their will be more and more incidents like this one, all because of bad choices.

Anyway, that is just a few of the things that concern me today. Thanks for reading, and be sure to check out my other sites as well. Theron
